Burlap Candy-Corn Bunting

I think that bunting makes everything so festive. Last year, I started this craft, and never quite finished it...Until now! A year later!

This was super-duper simple: Acrylic paint, burlap, and ribbon. I cut the triangles, then painted the strips. - Oh - a tip, if you decide to do this, I put the burlap triangle on a piece of wax paper - the paint will soak through. The candy corns will peel off the wax paper very easily when dry.

When the candy corns were finally ready, I sewed them to this cute ribbon. Well, let me actually admit: my friend Hillary sewed the candy corns onto the ribbon. After she finished it for me, we hung it up...So cute!

I'm so excited for Halloween crafts. What are you working on?

I LOVE this! Bunting + burlap + Halloween decoration = my head just exploded. Greatness.

Craft-wise I am buried in super saturday stuff, but after this weekend, I plan to finish the wood pumpkin I made out of an old fence picket.

I also need to cut some mirrors for a project for my barren entryway. I've been working on that one sporadically but this is the inspiration: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=960036&navAction=jump&navCount=

oh, except mine did not cost $700, because that is an absolute joke.

I love how you are able to recycle so many things. And the mirrors sound really awesome! I can't wait to see them when they're finished.
