*I should be clear...Halloween Night is self-published. And I'm hosting a give-away.
So...I wrote and illustrated a children's book. I'm actually pretty happy about it.
You can find a preview here.
It is available for purchase through Blurb. Additionally, if you are interested, you can order an eBook for iPad
And I know that I mentioned a give-away in the subject line.
I will give you this piece of original artwork from the book. It is 9x11 on watercolor paper, and was created using watercolors, pen and ink, and prismacolor colored pencil. It will be so cute framed as a Halloween decoration. No purchase (of the book or eBook) is necessary. Just comment on the blog. This give-away will be open until Friday at 11:59 PM. I will post the winner on Saturday.
I realize I haven't posted on this blog in for-ev-er...so there is a good chance that no one will even see this post or anything else. But I figure that it is worth posting. I love the way that the book turned out. Blurb always produces quality bound books.
Okay! Thanks for checking in.

So cool, Catania!!!!! I'm so happy that you've done something like this. You are so talented and now I can say to my daughter when she gets older "Do you want to read Shel Silverstein or Aunty Catania's book...again????" And she'll pick Aunty Catania's book...again ;)
Totally awesome Catania!
goodness, If I could have half the talent as you I might be as cool also. You are amazing and it is so cute.
what the?!?! That is sooooo GREAT! The only thing that could have made it better would have been more princesses, pink, glitter, hearts, and rainbows! Can't wait to be neighbors.
I have to admit I a squeal of excitment escaped my lips as I read your FB post about writing a kids book! You are so inspiring and I just adore your art and sense of style. Great job and I hope there are many more to come in the future!
Job well done!
Very cool, Catania. I've become sort of a hoarder of quality children's books for Isaac and would to add yours. He will love the cat (Neeee-owwwwww is how he says it).
Nicely done!
